Cootie Catchers

I believe I am obsessed! I cannot let go of this eventhough S tells me our wedding will turn into a circus. He doesn't get the charm at all... but I bought this template that is about Marriage in Faith. and the cootie catcher has quotes from the bible! *glee*

I am now working on making one with our wedding menu on it... I thought it'd be fun for the kids at the reception to make if they get bored...

Or just for me.... cause it's so different and cause I love them!

Wedding Favors

I have had one crazy week of renovations and wedding stuff.

Working through the invites, researching packaging options for the wedding favours, finding matching ties for the groomsmen and picking up our Wedding Glasses from Thornleigh! It's been a crazy wedding week. with some successful moments and some not so much.I've been dying to share pics.

First up were the ties that didn't end up matching. I blame the lighting in DJs.
Then there were the glasses I picked up that are our wedding favours in Sydney
That we are hoping to package up in this:

There...I've got it all out of my system now...

Ahhh..........

Photo-journal of a bathroom

There were fights, there was frustration, there was puzzlement and sure there was hope. But this trumps it all... JOY and satisfaction. And acceptance that we've made mistakes and learnt and grown along the way. I present to you, the journey of our bathroom.

Wedding dress fitting

I am stoked! We went to collect the dress today after alterations and it is perfect! I never thought I'd be this excited over the one dress but I am!

And I decided to change the lace for our wedding cake. The one the lady showed me in Van Hung Bridal fabrics trumps the lace border I had originally I am sure you would agree:

 This is the old one:

Especially when this is the vision now for the cake:

To fringe or not to fringe?

It's not really a question I guess. My mind's pretty made up cause S says he prefers me with one.

And I found this in a magazine which I would love to get done when I visit Zenith's in two weeks time for a haircut.

And then for the wedding, perhaps I could have this Taylor Swift-esque style:

I know it's risky changing hairstyles before a wedding. Particularly before our engagement shoot, hmmm but I just know this risk will be worth it!

Hauntingly beautiful song

'I wish you love'
English lyrics by Albert A. Beach

French lyrics and music by Charles L. Trenet

Goodbye, no use leading with our chins

This is where our story ends

Never lovers, ever friends

Goodbye, let our hearts call it a day

But before you walk away

I sincerely want to say

I wish you bluebirds in the spring

To give your heart a song to sing

And then a kiss, but more than this

I wish you love

And in July a lemonade

To cool you in some leafy glade

I wish you health

But more than wealth

I wish you love

My breaking heart and I agree

That you and I could never be

So with my best

My very best

I set you free

I wish you shelter from the storm

A cozy fire to keep you warm

But most of all when snowflakes fall

I wish you love

But most of all when snowflakes fall

I wish you love

I wish you love

I wish you love, love, love, love, love

I wish you love

You know you're crazy when...

You stop yourself from buying a really beautiful but expensive Crystal vase from David Jones even though you have vouchers and won't have to fork out cash for it...because... you expect that you'd be shattered if your (currently non-existant) kids are going to throw a ball into it one day and break it anyways...

Why were you shopping for crystal vases already anyways?

Face masks

I am three months out and apart from watching that I maintain my weight, I am also gonna have to watch my beauty routine. My last facial was too long ago and the next one is not till August 15.

In the meantime I have resorted to my stash of facial masks to keep the glow; and the bags, lines and spots at bay.
This is what I will try to remember to use weekly. A couple a week if I can remember.

I have quite an assortment of flavours from The Face Shop thanks to mummy who ensures I am well stocked...

But as an extra booster for skin renewal and as a skin treat, I also have my last three of these SK-II Pitera masks that I will indulge in:

Glee! Once a month I say, as a well deserved treat for pre-wedding prep.

This bling is a commitment ring

I used to think oh wow, I have a piece of Tiffany's now and it's so sparkly rara... and I used to love going out on Friday nights without S and declaring it singles night.

Tonight though, as I announced it was really late and I should get going, my mates asked me that would we have a big night next week instead and perhaps I could stay beyond eight pm?

Far out! I didn't even realize I was turning into a nanna! eversince he clapped this bling on me, I have slowly changed my ways to start thinking like an adult. My bro said the other day he feels a disconnect from me now cause I am in a different phase of my life.

I nvr fully understood before why ppl needed a commitment ring. But now I do. It's a reason to become responsible and grow up. And an excuse to stop letting yourself get plastered on the weekend.
