The weekend just passed

Another sunny weekend but this one was a confusion of good and bad. It started out on Friday night when I found the ties for the groomsmen at David jones for a really decent price. And then found out another friend was engaged. And friends commented on how good i looked leading up to the big day. It was a great start if I must say so myself.

On sat morning I had tradies working on the kitchen so that it now represents something like what its supposed to look like when its finished.

Because I did my nails for the engagement shoot on sunday I couldn't really do very much around the house for fear of damaging them. This was a real test of patience I must say. But I fared well. I went window shopping instead. First at paddington markets then supacenta cause I was dying to check out the Freedom sales. I bought a cushion for my day bed too. But I didn't dare look at much else cause I should be saving moolah for the wedding.

Cooked our first meal in the kitchen on Sunday night after the photo shoot (at which I realized I had dropped a whole dress size without even trying. ) And started unpacking a little bit but didn't get through as much as I'd like. Bummer

Regardless, this is the part I am proudest of this weekend. My own little nook shaping up to be quite a chic room.







Can't wait to be able to use the space to relax! If I ever find the time to do so...

Cootie Catchers

I believe I am obsessed! I cannot let go of this eventhough S tells me our wedding will turn into a circus. He doesn't get the charm at all... but I bought this template that is about Marriage in Faith. and the cootie catcher has quotes from the bible! *glee*

I am now working on making one with our wedding menu on it... I thought it'd be fun for the kids at the reception to make if they get bored...

Or just for me.... cause it's so different and cause I love them!

Wedding Favors

I have had one crazy week of renovations and wedding stuff.

Working through the invites, researching packaging options for the wedding favours, finding matching ties for the groomsmen and picking up our Wedding Glasses from Thornleigh! It's been a crazy wedding week. with some successful moments and some not so much.I've been dying to share pics.

First up were the ties that didn't end up matching. I blame the lighting in DJs.

Photo-journal of a bathroom

There were fights, there was frustration, there was puzzlement and sure there was hope. But this trumps it all... JOY and satisfaction. And acceptance that we've made mistakes and learnt and grown along the way. I present to you, the journey of our bathroom.

Wedding dress fitting

I am stoked! We went to collect the dress today after alterations and it is perfect! I never thought I'd be this excited over the one dress but I am!












And I decided to change the lace for our wedding cake. The one the lady showed me in Van Hung Bridal fabrics trumps the lace border I had originally I am sure you would agree:
