Yesterday was great fun. S and I cleaned up after our messy Sat night dinner party (1st party hosted in the new house!) and ate lunch together. Then we cleared out the lounge and started choreographing our boogey moves!
Our song is Can't take my eyes off you,the Jersey Boys version cause we had watched Jersey Boys on Broadway the night before he proposed and that song was pretty much the soundtrack of our engagement day...
We have this DVD that taught us all these hilarious moves being the Love Step, the Windmill, the Sway, Sway shadow.... Really liked how we discussed what our limitations are but was still able to work out the moves that we thought we could do and make it match to the music.
We've still got those Arthur Murray classes booked, but this was sooo fulfilling knowing that we've choreograpghed our dance mostly by ourselves. We're just gonna go to the class and hope that they can give us some pointers for how to look better on the dance floor and maybe get some tips on the lift.

More on the wedders
We got the price quotes today from our friend and it's a lot more than we had budgeted for! But he is offering me a much better colour grade diamonds in the band than my e-ring. I then started to get worried that the
Rock would look terrible next to the band!
So in typical me fashion, I fussed and sought assurance from everyone ard me. The gals on the wedding forum, L from work cause she's a diamond expert, and then a plethora of engaged and married people at work to canvass their opinions and experience from wedder shopping. I also went to T&Co and Levendi's to suss out what my ring would cost if I bought retail and most important of all what it would look like.
This is the new knowledge I gathered in summary:
1) Platinum is more expensive than diamonds when you are looking at diamonds that small.
2) that because I have a channel set band, less light get into the stones from the sides and hence the better colour stones won't show off the bigger stone which gets a lot more light.
3) My e-ring has virtually no visible inclusions in it even under the scope with a professional eye. I even got to look at it! And it looks pwetty!
4) Buying wholesale is less than half the price of retail!
I am stoked that I am very well informed about my decision now so I cannot regret this!
S is gonna email our friend tomorrow to let him know we'll go ahead with it!
These are pictures of roughly what our wedders look like...it's not exact, but it's the closest I found to what we've got.

Wedders shopping and a clean reno free home
This Monday morning is a bright happy one, albeit the chilly nip in the air.
We went wedder shopping at our friends' place last night and both of us couldn't get to bed after. It was a fun night sitting in the apartment living room with the couple who are diamond wholesalers with trays and trays of diamond rings in front of us for our viewing. I did get quite blinded trying to put on as many rings as I could to see which one I like...
Well, I thought I was relatively well-behaved. I stuck to just the wedding rings and didn't really look at the dress rings or engagement rings... except for one Illusion set one that looked like a 3.5 carat ring...
My favourite moments of the night were
1) When I put two rings together on either side of my E-ring and asked S which he preferred... to which he chose the one with less diamonds and I responded with a deflated "Oh..."
2) The boys were chatting and the friend said, of course the rings' prices can go down with the quality and size of the diamonds and his wife chastised him for suggesting that. To which I replied, "Oh that's ok, I am sure they were talking about His ring"
3) Friend asking S, "What is your budget for your ring"
Me, "Well, we'll see what the damage is like on the ring I pick, and then he can find something he likes with the rest of our budget"
Yeah, and the house is almost finished by now. 95% done I'd say. And I love the clean house. The normal restored order of living and the building of new routines and habits in our home. It was nice and sunny outside and clean and bright on the inside, so I couldn't be prouder of the house.
Wedding plans... we're focusing on you once again!

love is...
Being nice is when you go along when you know some one is wrong and not even mentioning it when you know they realize it and are backpedaling.
Being disappointed is when loved ones keep you from other loved ones because they think it may hurt you but it is over something you care about the least.
Lost is when you find out the truth and am not sure who to go against and who to please in order to make it alright again.

The weekend just passed
Another sunny weekend but this one was a confusion of good and bad. It started out on Friday night when I found the ties
for the groomsmen at David jones for a really decent price. And then found out another friend was engaged. And friends commented on how good i looked leading up to the big day. It was a great start if I must say so myself.
On sat morning I had tradies working on the kitchen so that it now represents something like what its supposed to look like when its finished.

That's just a sneak peak!
Because I did my nails
for the engagement shoot
on sunday I couldn't really do very much around the house for fear of damaging them. This was a real test of patience I must say. But I fared well. I went window shopping instead. First at paddington markets then supacenta cause I was dying to check out the Freedom sales. I bought a cushion for my day bed too. But I didn't dare look at much else cause I should be saving moolah for the wedding.
Cooked our first meal in the kitchen on Sunday night after the photo shoot (at which I realized I had dropped a whole dress size without even trying.
) And started unpacking a little bit but didn't get through as much as I'd like. Bummer
Regardless, this is the part I am proudest of this weekend. My own little nook shaping up to be quite a chic room.

Can't wait to be able to use the space to relax! If I ever find the time to do so...
